According to Metro's website, their strip loin steaks are priced at C$37.46 per kilogram, while Costco's is higher at C$38.89 per kilogram. However, the cheaper price could also be because the Metro package is smaller. Over the years, Costco has faced criticism from shoppers about its beef prices. In 2023, customers complained about high prices, including C$54.99 per kg for prime rib steaks. Some argued that Costco prioritizes higher-quality cuts, which could explain the price hike.
