Costco to replace vacant neighborhood in Upstate New York

A vacant neighborhood in Upstate New York is set for a big change. People are excited because construction of a Costco store and a medical facility is about to begin. The neighborhood in Guilderland has been empty for years. It was once a lively area with homes and children. However, plans for an expansion of the nearby Crossgates Mall fell through, leaving the area abandoned. Demolition work to prepare the site will start soon. According to local reports, homes and trees will be taken down to make way for the new Costco and a New York Oncology & Hematology Treatment Center. Various environmental agencies have agreed that this project will not harm the environment. Residents can look forward to the Costco opening in late 2025 or early 2026, with the medical center expected to open by December 2026.
