A man and woman from Long Beach have been arrested for allegedly burglarizing a business in Temecula. The incident took place on Tuesday when deputies responded to reports of a break-in on Jefferson Avenue. The suspects reportedly stole about $50,000 worth of tools and other items from the business. They then took a vehicle, which was also reported stolen. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department launched an investigation. They discovered that a credit card belonging to the business owner was used to book a room at a motel in Santa Ana. On Saturday, authorities obtained a search warrant for the motel room. They found the stolen vehicle in the motel parking lot. The suspects, identified as 36-year-old Marselina Ortiz and 43-year-old Jason Warner, were found leaving the room and were arrested. Ortiz faces multiple charges, including burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle, and identity theft. She is being held on $10,000 bail. Warner has also been charged with commercial burglary and is being held on the same bail amount. Authorities encourage anyone with further information to contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
