Couple found dead in Narendrapur home

Kolkata police discovered the bodies of a couple in Narendrapur on Wednesday afternoon. The couple, Tarun Das, 45, and Asha, 35, had lived in a rented home for six months with their two children. The bodies were found after a neighbor's child entered their house. Tarun was hanging from a fan, while Asha lay on a bed with blood on her face and marks around her neck. Police believe Tarun may have strangled Asha before taking his own life. Asha's sister also lives in a nearby rented house. At the time of the incident, the children were with their aunt. Their landlady, Jamuna Mondal, mentioned that she did not notice anything unusual when she spoke to them earlier that day. Police reported that Tarun had a history of drinking, which led to frequent arguments between the couple.
