Court denies acquittals for PTI leaders in Islamabad
The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has turned down the requests for acquittal from PTI leaders Faisal Javed Khan, Wasiq Qayyum, and three others. This decision was announced during a hearing about a protest that took place at Faizabad after former Prime Minister Imran Khan was disqualified. Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra presided over the court session. He dismissed both the acquittal pleas and Faisal Javed Khan's plea to remove the terrorism-related charges against him. One accused, former MPA Raja Rashid Hafeez, was declared a proclaimed offender due to his repeated absence from the court. The next hearing is scheduled for April 8, when the court will proceed with the indictment of those involved. All accused individuals are connected to a First Information Report (FIR) filed at the Industrial Area Police Station.
