Craig Casey and Jean Kleyn to return for Munster
Craig Casey is set to return to action for Munster at MacHale Park in Castlebar. The Irish scrum-half is back in full training and hopes to play in a key match against Connacht next week. He has been sidelined since December due to a knee injury. World Cup winner Jean Kleyn may also make his comeback in the same match. The South African player has been out since November with a thigh injury. Interim head coach Ian Costello noted that both players trained well, although they will miss the upcoming match against Glasgow Warriors. Costello highlighted Casey's positive influence on the team during his recovery. He described Casey as someone who brings energy and contributes significantly to team meetings. Jack O’Donoghue is also recovering from an ankle injury and could be available for the Castlebar game, while several other Irish players will return after missing the trip to Glasgow. In coaching updates, Alex Codling, a forwards coach consultant, is working with the Irish women's team for the Six Nations. As a result, former players Sean Cronin and Tommy O’Donnell are now coaching the Munster forwards.
