Cronos: New Dawn releases in fall or winter 2025
Bloober Team is developing a new horror game called Cronos: New Dawn. The studio is known for its work in the horror genre, including the remake of Silent Hill 2. This game, however, will be a new title, not a remake. It shares some elements with popular games like Dead Space. Currently, there is no specific release date for Cronos: New Dawn. The developers are targeting a release sometime in 2025, likely in the fall or winter months. However, fans should be prepared for a possible delay into 2026. Cronos: New Dawn will be available on the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. There are no plans for earlier generation consoles or a Nintendo Switch version, although a future Switch 2 release is possible. The first trailer for the game was released in October 2024. It gave a glimpse of the main character, known as the Traveler, exploring a dark house and facing off against a strange monster. The trailer had both cinematic elements and a hint of gameplay, showcasing intense action and mysterious events. A deeper look at the game was shown at the Future Games Show. Players will explore post-apocalyptic Poland in the 1980s. The Traveler must navigate back in time to prevent an event called The Change, although many plot details remain under wraps. In terms of gameplay, Cronos: New Dawn is a third-person survival horror game. Players will encounter dark environments and use firearms along with melee weapons. A dismemberment system similar to Dead Space is also included. Caution is key, as the Traveler can easily die without careful management of resources. Without a release date, fans can only add Cronos: New Dawn to their wishlists for now. Updates will come once more details are revealed.
