Crossbasket Castle reopens after £20 million renovations

Crossbasket Castle, a five-star hotel in Scotland, has reopened after a significant £20 million renovation. This restoration has been ongoing for 14 years, and the hotel has added 40 new bedrooms and a new restaurant called Trocadero's, run by Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux Jr. By autumn 2025, the hotel plans to introduce eco-lodges and a new spa. After purchasing the castle in 2011, the team invested over £10 million to restore it, celebrating its rich history while providing modern comforts. The new restaurant Trocadero's will offer a unique dining experience, complete with a high-quality sound system for live entertainment. The interior design features Art Deco elements, with rich colors and luxurious fabrics to enhance the atmosphere. Foveran's is another highlight, serving as a tranquil restaurant during the day and a stylish bar in the evening. Regular guests will still enjoy the classic charm of the original castle accommodations, as the new developments aim to enhance the overall experience without disrupting existing services.
