CTA to launch spring rail schedule April 20
The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) will introduce a new rail schedule for spring. Starting April 20, the Blue Line's Forest Park branch will see more trains. This change aims to help riders during the last phase of the Kennedy construction project. Every weekday, the CTA will add 30 extra trips. There will also be 17 additional trips on Saturdays and two more on Sundays. Acting President Nora Leerhsen said the CTA has been improving the Blue Line's reliability over the past three years. She expressed excitement about the new service being launched in 2025. This update is intended to provide better transportation options for those affected by the Kennedy Expressway reconstruction. More information on the CTA schedule is available online.
