Cultural evening ends Legislators' Sports Meet in Andhra Pradesh

The recent sports meet held on March 18 and 19 concluded with a cultural evening. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu attended the event and spoke about the importance of health and participation in sports for legislators. Mr. Naidu highlighted that there has been an improvement in the behavior of Assembly members. He noted that foul language had become common in past sessions, but now the atmosphere is more respectful. He referred to the current Assembly as a 'Gaurava Sabha,' meaning an honorable meeting. The Chief Minister emphasized that all political parties should work together for public welfare, rather than engage in personal conflicts. He joked that if legislators participated in sports more often, there would be less need for health expenditures. During the cultural evening, various performances were presented, including a solo act by Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker K. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju. The Chief Minister enjoyed the performances and suggested that such events should happen more often. At the end of the evening, Mr. Naidu awarded prizes to the winners of the sports competitions. Notable figures, including Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and other ministers, attended the closing ceremony of the sports meet.
