Curvy model representation declines in Autumn/Winter 2025
The Vogue Business report on size inclusivity for Autumn/Winter 2025 highlights a decline in the representation of curvy models on the catwalks. Despite the popularity of curvy silhouettes, few curvy models were featured. Of the 8,703 looks shown in 198 fashion events, 97.7% were straight-size, 2% mid-size, and only 0.3% plus-size. This marks a decrease in plus-size representation from 0.8% last season and mid-size from 4.3%. The report indicates a shift towards more conservative ideals and the influence of weight-loss drugs like Ozempic, contributing to the reduced visibility of mid and plus-size models.
