Customer finds tampered food after 45-minute Red Lobster wait
A Red Lobster customer documented her frustrating experience on TikTok after a long wait for her takeout order. Tammy Jo Gaylord waited more than 45 minutes for her food, which she claimed was mishandled by the staff. Gaylord placed a "curbside to-go" order and was informed upon arrival that the restaurant was waiting on Cheddar Bay Biscuits. After 19 minutes of waiting, she sought updates from the staff but felt they were unhelpful and dismissive. She even expressed concerns about her food getting cold. When she asked to speak with a manager, she reported being left on hold for several minutes while hearing staff mock her situation. Eventually, Gaylord received her food but discovered a used fork covered in cheese inside her order. This added to her frustration, especially since her food was cold by the time she got home. While some TikTok users criticized her for not going inside the restaurant, others supported her decision to complain. Gaylord stated she is considering contacting Red Lobster's corporate office to address her complaints.
