Cynthia Erivo shares challenges of filming Wicked with long hours without bathroom breaks

Cynthia Erivo shared her experience filming "Wicked," revealing she sometimes went 12 to 14 hours without bathroom breaks. The lengthy process of getting into her costume and harness made it difficult to take breaks during long shooting days. Erivo, who plays Elphaba, explained that once in her costume, she preferred to stay in it to avoid the time-consuming process of getting ready again. She declined offers from crew members to step away, stating, "I don’t need the bathroom." The film, starring Erivo and Ariana Grande, is set to release its first part on November 22. It explores the backstory of Elphaba and Glinda, based on the popular stage musical and Gregory Maguire's novel.
