Cynthia Erivo stars as Jesus in Hollywood Bowl's 2025 season lineup

The Los Angeles Philharmonic has announced the 2025 Hollywood Bowl season lineup, featuring Cynthia Erivo as Jesus in "Jesus Christ Superstar." This marks the return of summer musicals after a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gustavo Dudamel will conduct his penultimate season at the Bowl, highlighting his work with special performances. He will lead eight concerts in August, including Mahler’s First Symphony and Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony. The season will also include performances by Hugh Jackman, a new Blue Note Jazz Festival, and film concerts featuring John Williams' scores for "Jaws" and "Jurassic Park."
