Czech government declares Chvaletice manganese deposit strategic
Euro Manganese Inc. has announced that its Chvaletice manganese deposit in the Czech Republic has been classified as a "strategic deposit" by the Czech government. This designation is a significant development for the project, as it will help speed up the necessary permitting processes for the project. In the past year, Euro Manganese has received important approvals, including the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment in March 2024 and the Determination of Mining Lease permit in January 2025. These approvals are crucial steps toward fully permitting the project. The Chvaletice Project focuses on recycling old mine tailings to produce high-purity manganese, a key material for electric vehicle batteries. It is the only major manganese resource in the European Union, positioning the company to support battery supply chains and contribute to a low-carbon economy. Euro Manganese trades on multiple stock exchanges, including the TSX-V and ASX. The company aims to establish itself as a leading producer of battery materials while exploring additional opportunities in Quebec, Canada. Management warns that future success is subject to risks, including the ability to secure permits, financing, and favorable market conditions.
