Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett join Anne Hathaway in Colleen Hoover's Verity film adaptation
Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett have joined Anne Hathaway in the cast of "Verity," an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's 2018 novel. Amazon MGM Studios is producing the film, directed by Michael Showalter. Hathaway will portray Verity Crawford, while Hartnett plays her husband Jeremy, and Johnson takes on the role of Lowen Ashleigh. The film's screenplay is being developed by April Maguire and Will Honley. "Verity" follows Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer who uncovers dark secrets about the Crawford family after taking a job for Verity, who is incapacitated after a car accident. The film is part of a growing trend of adaptations of Hoover's bestselling novels.
