Dallas Cowboys may trade for Tyreek Hill
The Dallas Cowboys are looking to strengthen their wide receiver lineup before the upcoming season. They currently have CeeDee Lamb as their main receiver but want to add another strong player to support him. While there are good options in the NFL draft, the Cowboys might also consider making a trade. Kurt Benkert, a former quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, suggested that the Cowboys could trade for Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins. Hill is a five-time All-Pro receiver who could have a big impact on the Cowboys' offense. Benkert believes this would be a bold move for the Cowboys, who have faced criticism for not making significant trades in the past. Tyreek Hill has expressed his desire to leave Miami after the team's last game, but he later softened his stance about staying. Despite this, he has a hefty salary cap hit of $28 million for the 2025 season, due to a contract extension he signed in 2024. The Cowboys hold the 12th overall pick in the draft, but finding a receiver as talented as Hill in the draft could be challenging. Benkert emphasizes that having Hill alongside Lamb would make it hard for defenses to cover both players effectively. Acquiring Hill would likely require more than just the draft pick. However, it could help the Cowboys develop a powerful offense similar to what the Cincinnati Bengals have.
