Dance-theatre performance honors Ganga in Capital

A dance-theatre performance celebrating the river Ganga took place in the Capital on Tuesday. It highlighted India's spirituality and cultural heritage. Students from the Centre for Indian Classical Dances performed under the choreographic direction of Sonal Mansingh, a noted Bharatanatyam expert. The show used dance, music, and storytelling to convey themes of empowerment, equality, and ecological preservation. During the event, Sonal Mansingh spoke about the importance of India's creative arts. She emphasized how these forms have been enriched by past generations. The performance attracted several notable guests, including MPs Ranjeet Ranjan and Sasmit Patra, along with renowned dancers Pratibha Prahlad, Sharon Lowen, and Ranjana Gauhar.
