Danielle reveals NJZ's strict trainee surveillance rules

Danielle, a member of the K-pop group NJZ, shared her experiences as a trainee under HYBE during a live broadcast on March 18. She talked about the strict rules and surveillance she faced while training, explaining how they impacted her freedom. Danielle described how trainees had to send messages before going to the bathroom and take pictures of their meals to show to managers. She felt the pressure to follow these rules was intense, as not complying could put their chances of debuting at risk. She admitted that this mindset still affects her. Meeting former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin changed Danielle's outlook. She praised Min for helping the group move away from the restrictive environment they faced. Danielle questioned why such strict systems are still in place and suggested that they might come from outdated practices in the industry. Additionally, NJZ members, including Danielle, are currently involved in a legal dispute with ADOR. They announced their intention to terminate their contracts in November 2024 after the agency did not address their complaints. ADOR has since filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the contracts. A court hearing was held on March 7, and a decision is expected soon.
