Dart services resume after vandalism in Shankill
Dart services between Dalkey and Bray have restarted after being delayed due to vandalism. This incident occurred at Shankill when an object was thrown, damaging the overhead lines used for power. Irish Rail reported that the damage affected a pantograph, which connects the train to the wires. Passengers traveling from Rosslare, Co Wexford, to Dublin Connolly were provided with a bus connection from Bray during the suspension. The Dart service resumed around 1:30 PM, just in time for the evening commute. In a separate incident, an overturned car on the M50 caused significant delays for morning drivers. The crash happened in the northbound lanes between Junction 4 Ballymun and Junction 3 Santry. Lanes two and three were closed, resulting in traffic congestion extending back 15 minutes from Junction 5 Finglas. Dublin Fire Brigade responded to the accident and shared updates on social media. Fortunately, the road was cleared by lunchtime according to Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
