Daughter arrested after mother's fatal dog attack in Colorado

A woman in Colorado is facing serious charges after her mother was killed by dogs in her home. The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office reported that 76-year-old Lavonne Hoff died from a dog attack on February 3. Authorities found Lavonne's body in her daughter Jessica Hoff's house. When they arrived, they discovered several dogs running freely inside the home, along with about 54 other dogs and seven birds in cages. Reports state that Lavonne had dementia and needed constant care. Jessica Hoff is charged with criminal negligence leading to the death of her mother and multiple counts of animal cruelty. She is currently being held at the Pueblo County Jail.
