Dave The Diver DLC featuring Yakuza arrives April 2025

A new downloadable content (DLC) pack for the game Dave The Diver is coming soon. This DLC, titled "Ichiban's Holiday," will feature a crossover with the popular game Yakuza: Like A Dragon. It will be available for Nintendo Switch starting April 10, 2025. The game's director, Jaeho Hwang, announced the collaboration during a video presentation. Hwang is a fan of the Yakuza series and took inspiration from it while developing Dave The Diver. He connected with Yakuza's director last year, leading to this special project. In this DLC, players can expect new game features including a beat 'em up mode where they can control characters Cobra and Ichiban. However, it is important to note that there will be no co-op option. Players can also enjoy karaoke and other activities within the game. This DLC will only be available for a limited time of six months. After the initial release, it will be accessible until October 2025. Following this DLC, another expansion called "In The Jungle" will also be released. The developers are also working on new game projects, though details about them have not yet been shared. Dave The Diver was praised for its gameplay after its release in 2023, earning a nine out of ten rating from Nintendo Life. The game has previously featured other interesting updates, including tie-ins with Godzilla and Guilty Gear.
