David Davis of Imani Christian commits to Penn State

David Davis, a junior from Imani Christian, has decided to play football for Penn State. Imani Christian is one of the smallest schools in the WPIAL, but they have now produced top recruits for two consecutive years. On Tuesday, Davis announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions on social media. The 6-foot, 190-pound defensive back had previously chosen Penn State as one of his top six schools. His list included Pitt, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Michigan State, and Nebraska. Rivals, a recruiting website, gives Davis a three-star rating. They have ranked him as the 17th best player among Pennsylvania recruits in the 2026 class. Davis played both running back and defense for Imani Christian, which had a successful season last fall, finishing 11-1 and reaching the WPIAL Class 3A semifinals. He scored ten touchdowns and was named a first-team all-conference player as a kick returner. Davis will be joining Dayshaun Burnett, another player from Imani Christian who signed with Penn State in December.
