Daytime temperatures in Odisha expected to rise significantly

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) reported on Sunday that temperatures in the state are expected to increase over the next few days. Daytime temperatures might rise by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius. Night temperatures will also see a slight increase of 2 to 3 degrees. On Monday, areas like Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, and Jagatsinghpur may experience light to moderate rain or thunderstorms. In the past two days, the state has seen heavy rainfall that has impacted crops and vegetables. One farmer, Parikkhita Behera from the Bari area of Jajpur district, expressed concern over the damage to his groundnut and watermelon crops. He mentioned that about two acres of his crops were severely affected by the unseasonal rain. Behera, like many farmers in the state, is worried about how he will repay his loans after this loss.
