DC's The Authority movie delayed due to development issues

James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, announced that the movie adaptation of The Authority is facing development challenges. He cited competition from existing adaptations, particularly the series The Boys, as a significant factor in the delays. While The Authority is currently on hold, other projects in the DC Universe are progressing. Upcoming films include Superman, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and Clayface, with release dates set for 2026. Angela Spica, also known as Engineer, will debut in the upcoming Superman film. Other projects in development include Sgt. Rock, Swamp Thing, and The Brave And The Bold.
