De Minaur calls Alcaraz the most impressive player

Alex De Minaur, a professional tennis player, believes that Carlos Alcaraz has the strongest presence, or aura, among current ATP players. Despite Alcaraz's challenging start to 2025, which includes only one title so far, De Minaur thinks the young Spaniard stands out. Alcaraz won his only title this year at the Rotterdam tournament, beating De Minaur in the final. Recently, he lost in the semi-finals of the Indian Wells tournament to Jack Draper, who went on to win the event. Even so, De Minaur ranks Alcaraz higher in terms of aura than well-known players like Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner. In a recent interview, De Minaur stated, “Who has the most aura? You can’t really go past Carlitos... Alcaraz! He definitely has that aura.” He has faced Sinner several times, losing all 10 of their encounters, and feels that their match-ups are particularly tough for him. Earlier in the year, De Minaur expressed that he would have a better chance at a Grand Slam if he were on the opposite side of the draw from Sinner. He has reached the quarter-finals of all four Grand Slam tournaments but has never advanced beyond that stage. De Minaur’s focus remains on improving and aiming for greater success in the future.
