This package included items based on how much players had spent on the mobile game. However, it was only available through the app, which may cause issues for those who deleted it before the shutdown. The mobile game, which started in April 2020, had a brief lifespan and did not reach its five-year anniversary. Mobile games often require online support, which can lead to their early closure when they are no longer profitable. Many gamers have found this trend frustrating. Despite the end of Dead by Daylight Mobile, the main game on PC and consoles remains popular and continues to receive new content. Recently, there was an announcement about the addition of content inspired by the Tokyo Ghoul anime and manga. Behaviour Interactive is also working on a Dead by Daylight movie, signaling plans to expand the franchise further. As the mobile version concludes, the core game is expected to thrive moving forward.
