Dearborn police arrest fourth suspect in homicide case

Dearborn police have arrested a fourth suspect in the homicide case of Hassan Salame. This incident occurred in September 2023 when Salame was shot outside a restaurant on Ford Road. In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, police arrested three individuals. These suspects have been charged with homicide and are currently awaiting trial at the Wayne County Criminal Justice Center. Recently, police received new information that led them to identify the fourth suspect, Dawanne Midgett, age 35, from Detroit. On March 20, 2025, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office charged Midgett with several offenses, including felony murder and armed robbery. Midgett was arraigned on March 21, 2025, at the 19th District Court. He was sent to Wayne County Jail without bond. A probable cause conference for his case is scheduled for April 2, 2025. As for the other three defendants—Devon Travon Green, Lindsay Thurmond, and Quenton Goston—their jury trial has been postponed. This delay is due to Midgett's upcoming court proceedings.
