Former West Ham captain Declan Rice shared a tribute on social media, saying, “Rest in peace Oscar.” The club plans to honor Fairs and has postponed all academy fixtures, including a match scheduled for Friday evening. Fairs was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor in August 2023 after initially being misdiagnosed. His condition was revealed following an MRI scan that showed a 9cm tumor and additional cysts.
