Delhi air quality remains very poor with AQI at 321 two days after Diwali
Delhi's air quality remains "very poor" with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 321 on Saturday, down from 359 the previous day. This year's Diwali saw a 4% decrease in PM2.5 levels compared to last year, despite high pollution levels. The AQI on Friday was recorded at 339, an improvement from 358 last year. Wind conditions helped disperse pollutants, preventing a significant rise in pollution levels post-Diwali, unlike previous years. Overall, 37 out of 39 air quality monitoring stations reported "very poor" air quality. The average AQI during the pre-Diwali and Diwali days was worse than in the last two years.
