Delhi airport launches 'Slot Bank' to enhance flight schedules

Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport has introduced a new 'Slot Bank' system to improve flight schedules and enhance passenger connections. This initiative aims to boost flight punctuality and streamline aircraft movement. The Slot Bank will help airlines stick to their schedules, ensuring timely departures and arrivals. This move supports the Indian government's goal of making Delhi a major international aviation hub within two years. Currently, international-to-international traffic at IGI Airport is only 3%, but plans are in place to increase it to 10% in five years. The airport already serves 150 destinations, surpassing many global airports in connectivity.
