Delhi Airport's air train project deadline delayed again
Delhi Airport has delayed the deadline for expressions of interest in its air train project to April 16, 2025. The project aims to improve transit between terminals and is expected to start operations by March 2028. In the meantime, Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) will increase bus services between terminals to assist passengers. The air train is designed to handle 40,000 to 50,000 passengers daily, with plans to expand capacity later. The air train will cover a 7.7 km route, mostly elevated, and will not include an underground section to control costs. The total project cost is estimated at around Rs 1,500-1,600 crore.
