Delhi Capitals announces dual captaincy for 2025 IPL season

Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal announced that the team will have dual captains for the 2025 IPL season, selecting KL Rahul and Axar Patel. This decision follows the team's recent parting with former captain Rishabh Pant. During the IPL auction, Delhi retained four players and acquired nine new ones, including Rahul for INR 14 crore and Mitchell Starc for INR 11.75 crore. The team spent a total of INR 59.20 crore and now has 13 players in their squad. Delhi Capitals will continue the auction with INR 13.80 crore left to fill 12 remaining slots, including four for overseas players. They also have one Right-To-Match card available.
