Delhi CM Atishi announces financial aid for women under Mahila Samman Yojana

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi announced that two instalments of ₹1,000 each under the "Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana" will be credited to eligible women by the end of the financial year. Registrations will open within 10 days. The scheme is available to women residents of Delhi who are registered voters, excluding certain groups like government employees and tax payers. The government aims to support women facing financial challenges, regardless of their family's income. The AAP party plans to increase the aid to ₹2,100 per month after the upcoming assembly elections. This initiative is part of the party's strategy to appeal to women voters ahead of the elections in early 2025.
