Delhi constable dies from accidental gunfire during election
A Delhi Police constable has died after an accidental shooting while on election duty. The constable, named Nikhil Yadav, was assigned to the west zone of the Police Control Room (PCR) during the assembly elections in Delhi. The incident occurred on February 5, when another officer's service gun accidentally fired and injured Yadav. He was quickly taken to the hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he passed away on March 22 after being treated for his injuries. Delhi Police honored Constable Nikhil Yadav with a tribute. His last rites took place on March 23 in his hometown of Khaira, Najafgarh. Senior officers and fellow police members attended his funeral, giving him a gun salute as a mark of respect.
