Delhi faces severe air pollution as AQI hits very poor levels
New Delhi is experiencing severe air pollution, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching 373, classified as "very poor." This marks the third consecutive day of worsening air quality, coinciding with the season's first fog episode. The city is under a dense layer of smog, which has formed due to high pollution levels combined with moisture in the air. Temperatures are expected to range from 17 to 33 degrees Celsius, with light winds affecting air dispersion. Regionally, several areas report very poor to severe AQI levels, including Bawana at 414 and Ashok Vihar at 398. Fog classification varies based on visibility, with shallow fog reducing visibility to 500 meters or less.
