Delhi faces severe air pollution crisis impacting residents' health, report finds
Delhi is experiencing severe air pollution, with the air quality index (AQI) exceeding 300, even before winter. A recent survey found that 69% of families in Delhi-NCR have members suffering from pollution-related health issues. The survey revealed that 62% of families reported burning eyes, while 46% noted runny noses or congestion. Many residents already have respiratory conditions, and the hazardous AQI levels are expected to worsen their health. Additionally, 31% of respondents reported breathing difficulties or asthma, and 23% experienced anxiety or concentration issues. Sleep problems were reported by 15% of those surveyed.
