Delhi faces severe pollution as first morning fog of the season arrives
Delhi's air pollution remains severe, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 373, marking the third consecutive day of high pollution levels. The main cause is vehicular emissions, and experts expect the AQI to stay above 350 until November 10. The city also recorded its first morning fog of the season, which combined with pollution to create smog. Visibility dropped to 800 meters due to calm winds and high humidity, contributing to the poor air quality. Pollutants PM 2.5 and PM 10 are prevalent, with vehicular emissions accounting for about 10.7% of pollution. Authorities are urged to implement stricter measures to address pollution sources, including stubble burning and dust from construction sites.
