Delhi HC to review Kejriwal's bail in excise scam

The Delhi High Court will hear a plea from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 17, 2025, challenging the bail granted to former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case linked to the excise policy. Kejriwal was previously granted interim bail by the Supreme Court in July 2024, which raised questions about the necessity of arrest under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. His bail was later stayed by the high court following the ED's appeal. The excise policy in question was scrapped in 2022 after allegations of corruption emerged. Kejriwal was arrested by the ED and CBI in connection with this case last year.
