Delhi Police celebrates 110th anniversary of historic Shahdara police station

Delhi Police celebrated the 110th anniversary of the Shahdara police station on January 7, 2025. Established in 1915, it is one of Delhi's oldest stations and the first in the trans-Yamuna area. The event featured a puja and a session where senior citizens and retired personnel shared experiences. The original building was replaced by a new complex in 2020, which includes the assistant commissioner's office and a cyber police station. The first FIR at Shahdara was registered on its opening day, involving a house break-in. The station has historical significance, having detained freedom fighters during British rule.
