Delhi weather to reach 40 degrees Celsius; prepare
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for several states across India. Temperatures are expected to rise significantly. Many eastern and western regions may reach up to 42.5 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the Northeast is preparing for heavy rainfall due to a cyclonic circulation. Despite some recent rain providing brief relief in parts of North India, the IMD warns that a sharp increase in temperatures will occur soon. Delhi, currently enjoying pleasant weather, may see temperatures hit 40 degrees Celsius by the end of the month. This year's heatwave has arrived earlier than usual, affecting many areas already. For instance, Odisha’s Boudh district hit 42.5 degrees Celsius on March 16. In the Northeast, heavy rain is expected over the next few days, particularly in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and other nearby states. The IMD predicts strong winds and intense rainfall, contrasting with the heat experienced in other parts of the country. Many states, including Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab, may have cloudy skies and rain soon. However, states like Odisha, Jharkhand, and Telangana will likely face extreme heat, with temperatures remaining high. In Tamil Nadu, moderate rainfall is expected until March 22, but Chennai will see partly cloudy weather. Authorities urge everyone to take precautions against the heat while also staying alert for weather changes. If you have travel plans, it is advisable to check the weather updates regularly.
