Delhi's air quality remains very poor for fifth consecutive day as temperatures rise
Delhi's air quality has remained "very poor" for five consecutive days, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) exceeding 350 since November 3. The highest AQI recorded this season was 382. Calm winds have hindered the dispersion of pollutants, keeping the air quality consistently high in the "very poor" range. The minimum temperature is currently 18°C, four degrees above normal, following a low of 16.5°C on November 3. Nine monitoring stations reported "severe" air quality on Thursday, with Anand Vihar at 427 AQI and Wazirpur at 424. Despite unfavorable conditions, the air quality has not yet reached the "severe" category, which typically occurs earlier in November.
