Delhi's IGI airport launches real-time flight update kiosks
Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport has introduced virtual information display (VID) kiosks to help travelers. These kiosks offer real-time flight updates and navigation assistance. This new service aims to enhance the travel experience, especially for first-time flyers. The kiosks are located in both terminals 1 and 3. Passengers can use them to get directions to their boarding gates and find amenities, shops, and other services along the way. A representative from Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) explained that travelers can simply scan their boarding pass to access information. The VID kiosks also feature intuitive 3D maps and live location tracking, making it easier to navigate the terminal. In addition, they provide 24/7 customer support through video calls. This support can help passengers who might struggle to find their way or understand the airport layout. DIAL's CEO, Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, stated that this initiative is a significant step toward improving the airport experience. The kiosks aim to make travel simpler, smarter, and more seamless for everyone, particularly those who are new to air travel.
