Pertussis cases continue to be a concern in French Polynesia and other areas. In New Caledonia and New Zealand, health officials are monitoring increasing trends in pertussis cases, prompting alerts in both regions. Meanwhile, a child in Cambodia was confirmed to have H5N1 avian influenza after being hospitalized. This case highlights the importance of avoiding contact with sick poultry.
