Denver Pioneers hockey ranks sixth nationally before semifinals

The Denver Pioneers hockey team has moved up to No. 6 in the national rankings after a playoff series against Colorado College. They won two consecutive games after losing the first, advancing to the NCHC semifinals. Denver will play Arizona State in the Frozen Faceoff on Friday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. The other semifinal match will feature Western Michigan against North Dakota. The championship game is scheduled for Saturday.
