Deputy Collector found dead in Tirunelveli home

A Deputy Collector in Tamil Nadu was found dead at his home on Tuesday. The official, Bhaskaran, was 59 years old and worked for the Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation in Tirunelveli. Colleagues became concerned when he did not show up for work. They tried calling him but got no response. When a few coworkers went to his house in Maharaja Nagar, they found the door locked from the inside. The colleagues alerted the police, who broke down the door. They discovered Bhaskaran lying on his bed and quickly took him to Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead upon arrival. Authorities believe he may have suffered a heart attack while sleeping. The local police have opened an investigation into the incident.
