Destiny 2's patch improves gameplay and weapon mechanics
Destiny 2 has released a new update, version 8.2.5.1, on March 18. This patch includes various fixes aimed at improving the game experience. One key issue addressed is the Explosive Payload weapon perk. Players have found it less effective recently, as it did not scale well with certain other perks. The upcoming update aims to correct this problem to enhance weapon performance. The patch also resolves errors in the Sundrered Doctrine dungeon that were blocking player progression. Competitive players will notice changes in the Crucible, including better performance bonuses. Additionally, players can expect new adjustments in matchmaking. Previously, some players were matched against higher-ranked opponents due to incorrect protections. This update aims to fix that issue. Other notable fixes include corrections to the Trials of Osiris, where a double loot modifier was mistakenly applied, and the Sundered Doctrine boss fight mechanics. Several fixes related to weapon traits and gameplay mechanics have also been implemented. Finally, some cosmetic updates were made, including a name change for the "Winged Victory" Holochip to "Taking Flight." This change prevents confusion with a new ship of the same name. Overall, the update seeks to improve gameplay and resolve long-standing issues.
