Detentions linked to forest guard exam scandal in Jaipur
Police in Rajasthan have detained a constable and an assistant station master as part of an investigation into a forest guard exam scandal. The Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested two women, Seema Kumari and Timo Kumari, who allegedly paid a former councillor, Naresh Deo Saharan, to get the exam questions in advance. The SOG's Assistant Director General, VK Singh, reported that Timo's husband, Likhma Ram, a police constable, sent the money to Saharan through Kanwara Ram, the assistant station master in Gujarat. So far, a total of 29 people have been arrested in this case. Likhma Ram and Kanwara Ram are being questioned to find out more about how the exam questions were leaked. Timo Kumari works as a forest guard in the Chohtan Range and is from Ratasar in Barmer district. She was arrested after Saharan was interrogated. Additionally, three police constables from Udaipur have also been arrested related to this scandal. The SOG is continuing its investigation and is looking for more suspects and individuals involved in the paper leak operation.
