A detour has been opened around the site of the expressway collapse on Rama II Road. The Expressway Authority of Thailand (Exat) launched the single-lane detour at 6 am on Monday, allowing access to the Chalerm Maha Nakhon expressway. The collapse occurred on Saturday when a beam fell, blocking the Dao Khanong ramp. Exat is removing debris and aims to fully reopen inbound access within seven days. Outbound access will take about 30 days to restore. As of Monday, debris removal is 75% complete. The expressway is part of a construction project by the ITD-VCB Joint Venture.
