Detroit hosts 67th annual St. Patrick's Day parade
Detroit celebrated St. Patrick's Day with its annual parade in Corktown, marking the 67th year of the event. Thousands attended, dressed in green, as dance troops, bagpipers, and local politicians participated in the two-hour procession. The parade featured over 35 Irish organizations, showcasing their flags and traditions. Despite chilly weather, the festivities continued with a vibrant atmosphere, as families and friends gathered to enjoy the celebration. The event was organized by the United Irish Societies, with Joan O’Halloran serving as grand marshal. Following the parade, crowds filled local pubs to continue the St. Patrick's Day festivities.
